How to Auto Refresh Power BI Desktop

Refreshing data automatically in Power BI Desktop involves a few steps.

  1. Install Power BI Gateway:
    • If you haven’t installed Power BI Gateway on your computer, download and install it from the official Microsoft website.
    • Make sure to choose the option that matches your system requirements.
  2. Create a Data Source Connection:
    • Open Power BI Desktop and go to the “Home” tab.
    • Click on “Get Data” and choose the appropriate data source.
    • Connect to your data source by providing the necessary credentials.
    • Load the data into the Power BI Desktop workspace.
  3. Configure Data Source Settings:
