Just add .example.com to ALLOWED_HOSTS setting using your command line:

heroku config:set DJANGO_ALLOWED_HOSTS=.example.com,example.herokuapp.com

or using the heroku dashboard.

to replace

ALLOWED_HOSTS =['*']
